CORI Members Attend the JCLC Conference

 

Members of the Cornucopia of Rhode Island enjoyed attending the 4th Joint Conference of Librarians of Color in St. Pete's Beach, Florida recently. While there they caught up with Dr. Michael Havener, a founder of CORI and Tracie D. Hall the Executive Director of the American Library Association.

CALA 50th Anniversary Virtual Celebration

We'll be highlighting 50th anniversary projects as well as showcasing a short video that celebrates CALA's 50th anniversary.

Grant Opportunity from We Need Diverse Books

On behalf of the Intellectual Freedom Committee - Grant Opportunity from We Need Diverse Books:

WNDB established the Books Save Lives Grant to provide up to $10,000 for school libraries to purchase diverse titles. WNDB will prioritize grants for schools located in areas most impacted by book bans and censorship.
Each Books Save Lives Grant will provide up to $10,000 per school library. The grant money must be used toward purchasing diverse books and the books must remain on the shelves for a minimum of four years.
