2018 RILA Awards and Celebration

On Thursday, June 7, at 4:30 pm directly following the Futures Conference at the University of Rhode Island Library’s Galanti Lounge, the Rhode Island Library Association (RILA) cordially invites you to its annual meeting and a reception at which we will celebrate the accomplishments of our colleagues and the association.

We will be presenting the 2018 RILA Awards, announcing our new strategic plan, and celebrating the Coalition of Library Advocates (COLA) joining RILA as a Section.

Everyone is welcome to this free event, even if you are not able to attend the Futures Conference.

Cornucopia of Rhode Island: A Library Community of Color (CORI) is moving forward to become a section of the Rhode Island Library Association (RILA).    The rationale for becoming a section of RILA is the benefits that the organization combined would bring to the Rhode Island library communities. 

As a section of RILA, CORI must designate a CORI member to attend the RILA board meetings at least four times during the calendar year. 

OR CORI members can vote to dissolve.

Please attend this important meeting.  Your voice is important!
