The
Medical Library Association (MLA) wants to support your excellence in
scholarship and potential for accomplishment in health sciences
librarianship through its scholarship of up to $5000 for
underrepresented students. The recipient will also
receive one year of student membership in MLA and free inclusive
student registration at the 2020 annual meeting in Portland, Oregon!

All application materials (including official transcripts
and letters of recommendation) due to MLA Headquarters by website
submission, fax, email, or postal mail by December 1, 2019.
Applicant must:
- be a member of an underrepresented group, such as Black or African-American, Hispanic or Latinx, Asian, Aboriginal, North American Indian or Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander;
- be entering a Master’s program at an ALA-accredited graduate library school OR at the time of the granting of the scholarship (February 2020), have completed no more than one-half of the academic requirements of the graduate program;
- be a citizen of or have permanent residence in either the United States or Canada; and
- not be a past recipient of the MLA Scholarship or the MLA Scholarship for Minority Students
