Feria del Libro y las Artes de Providence is back this year, a fully in-person event for the first time since COVID! Please post in your libraries and share the attached flyers with your communities. Everyone is welcome!
Featured presenters include:- Victor Piñeiro [victorpineiro.com], author of middle grade series Time Villains, and winner of an International Latino Book Awards Gold Medal and Kirkus Best Middle Grade Book of 2021;
- Peruvian-American writer Juana Martinez-Neal [juanamartinezneal.com], children’s author of Zonia’s Rain Forest and Alma and How She Got Her Name;
- artists Shey ‘Rí Acu’ Rivera Ríos [sheyrivera.com] and Jesús de la Torre;
- Poets Sussy Santana [sussysantana.com] and Maggie Picot [creativeground.org];
- Exhibitions by painters Carolina Briones and Nilton Cárdenas [niltoncardenas.com] and photographer Alex Hornstein [wildlives.world], creator of the Bibliodiversity program;
- PLUS arts and crafts stations and free book giveaways for children at the event opening!
Feria del libro y las artes de Providence 2023 [clpvd.org] is presented by the Community Libraries of Providence and Providence College, with event partners Pawtucket Public Library and Rhode Island Latino Book Award.
